What Causes Irregularity Of Periods?

I am 48 years old. I have skipped one period in the last 2 years. My periods have become more frequent, with a few being less than 3 weeks apart. I have had 2 heavy periods, but on average they are lighter and of the same duration. Should I be concerned about the increased frequency of my periods?

dear,
all symptoms mentioned by you are suggestive of menopausal symptoms,
and they are quite frequent, since menopausal women will have deficiency of calcium and other minerals, i ll suggest u to start calcium supplements asap and look for vaginal bleed if its gross and persistent than u should visit a gynec and papsmear is also advisable.
thanks.
