What Causes Irregularity In An EKG Report?

Husband had an irregular ekg result. Doctor said it was afib and heart was beating to fast. Gave him blood thinner and a heart regulator medicine. Wants us to return in two days. Now after taking those two meds husband said day before, over 24 hrs from ekg, that he too suboxone. Could that screwed up EKG results? And given afib reading?

Hello. No, the suboxone wouldn't have caused the afib, but an electrolyte imbalance in potassium or calcium may have.
