What Causes Irregular Vaginal Spotting While On Birth Control?
I am on birth control, and I had some spotting during the middle of my cycle and it went away. I had sexual intercourse and the male ejaculated in me. I never stopped taking the pill, and took it at the same time every day. I was just wondering if there was anything to worry about since I had the spotting, or should everything be normal?
Irregular vaginal spotting means you had a lighter than normal period after taking birth control pills is likely to be due to hormonal changes in blood.
The spotting or discharge is not suggestive of a pregnancy.so no need to be worried about it.
The change in blood flow can be due to a minor hormonal variation. You can confirm this further by doing a home pregnancy test with the early morning sample of urine.
Consult your family doctor or gynecologist for further treatment if bleeding continues.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
