What Causes Irregular Periods In Women Following Healthy Diet?
Hi I m 47 years old and and I think maybe I am going through the change as my periods are very far apart now, my last one was in June for three weeks solid. Also although I am still nine stone my legs and arms have got really skinny. I am five foot two and eat healthy and regularly.

Hi,
I feel change in your bleeding pattern is due to premenopausal symptoms. The prolonged bleeding had given you an obvious fall in physique and if the bleeding has stopped completely after 2weeks...it's more likely to be premenopausal.
Still considering the weakness it has given it's important to exclude other possible causes of such bleeding(specifically at this age).
I would advise for an expert gynecological check up followed by needful investigations for exclusion/diagnosis of more serious causes..followed by needful treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
