I'm 17 years old and i will turn 18 in January. My problem is that my cycle has been irregular lately and i'm worried. The last time it came on regularly was in April of 2011. (it usually comes on for about 4 days.) And during the summer, it stopped coming on. I never spotted or anything. Then, in September it came back on again, the problem was that it was on too long. At first, i thought that it was making up for the other months that it never showed up. So now, its been on for 2 months. Started getting worried last month and i told my mom and she told me to wait until christmas break so that she can save the money. i have been doing a lot of research and i know that it's a pretty good chance that i have anemia. I have been tried lately and stuff. Now we have an appointment on Dec. 12 (thank God), my grandmother took over the situation. And it looks like im gonna have a male doctor. I'm super nervous! My question is what will the doctor look for and what procedures will he do? And also, what type of medication do you think that he will give me?
