General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is not uncommon for periods to be irregular and different while breast feeding due to the hormones involved. However, if your bleeding is markedly abnormal, then do go in to be checked.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bonnie Berger-Durnbaugh, General & Family Physician
