Hello,
Thank you for your query.
Spotting is just a drop of blood which usually last for a few hours and doesn't need a sanitary napkin or tampon.
It can be dark brown, pink or bright red.
Regular menstrual bleeding will need a pad or tampon last for a minimum of 1-2 days and will be more heavier. Can start off as brown and become bright red and then taper off.
Some
hormonal and menstrual irregularities are expected in the first year of marriage.
If your periods were unusually light this time, I suggest you take a
pregnancy test.
If negative, nothing to worry about.
If the bleeding is heavy and you have severe
abdominal pain, go to the emergency right away.
On the other hand, if you are trying to conceive and have
irregular periods and do not get pregnant in one year of trying with regular intercourse , I recommend you seek medical attention with an
OBGYN.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.
Wish you good health
