What Causes Irregular Menstruation And Brownish Vaginal Discharge?

Hi. I have always had irregular cycles. And I haven t had a cycle in a few months however I keep getting this brown discharge which looks like cervical mucus. And the past 2 times I ve had sexual intercourse I bled but the so called blood was actually brown. What s going on?

Brown vaginal discharge coming out is old blood that took time to clear out.It is normal if it occurs when a person is pregnant,or if it is around days of your periods or after a vaginal exam like pap smear or vigorous sex.It may be due to infections but it may have been accompanied with pain fever pelvic discomfort etc which you are not having
As you mentioned you have irregular cycles,so the discharge is most probably due to PCOD, if you are also experiencing of wait gain acne or more facial hairs,do get a abdominal ultrasound.As you mentioned you had the discharge after sex,this was due to stress of the sex.
I would highly recommend you to get an ultrasound and get medics for regulating your cycle
Rest if you dont want to,you have nothing to worry about this brown discharge except for irregular cycle.
