What Causes Irregular Menstruation After 4 Months Of Delivery?
Hi I just had my son almost 4 months ago my periods have been werid I just got back on my birth control pills after I had him I had a period almost 3 1/2 weeks ago but I feel like I m going to start again when I wipe it s that tan color but also very dischargie and when I was on my period 3 1/2 weeks ago I went for 3 days and stopped but at night for 3 days when I wiped it was brown but I bleed only 3 days
The contraception used during lactation (while a woman breastfeeds) contains only progesterone, which can cause bleeding as a common complication. Thus, I think you are having these irregular bleeding due to progesterone.
You will need to talk with your doctor though and have a thorough visit so you can make sure it is related to progesterone or not.
I hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
