What Causes Irregular And Prolonged Periods?

Hi, i have irregular periods did not see it since july, recently saw a little blood and gradually my period came going 3 weeks and it wont stop and i am become weak and tired, is it safe for me to take norcolut for couple days or should i go to the doctor. My doctor had given prescribed it before to start and stop my period

It appears from your description that you are having irregular and prolonged cessation of periods like 'secondary amenorrhea'.
The possible cause for this needs to be evaluated and treated as it could be hormonal imbalance and polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD).
You would require to be tested for hormone levels in blood and ultrasound scan of abdomen and pelvic region.
It is advisable not to take medications on your own without proper evaluation.
