General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Iron deficiency along with Crohn's disease is common. It's better to take food rich in iron like jaggery, nuts etc. Iron supplement in the form of a tablet can be effective. But no infusion will be needed in future if you take a supplement in food or through the tablet. Avoid iron absorption inhibiting the effect of other food items like tea etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
