General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, if azithromycin isn't working antibiotics change may be considered and throat swab culture may be sent for isolation of causative organism and antibiotics it's responsive too. ASO titres may also be needed as well as otolaryngologist review may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
