What Causes Intermittent Severe Stomach Pain?

I have had a severe stomach ache on and off for the past 3 days, but tonight it s progressively worse. I have stomach tenderness to the touch, and the pain intensifies when I move, stand, or walk. The pain is located to the right lower side of my stoamch. I have tried using the restroom to see if that would help the pain and nothing happens. It also feels like I have gas pain, but I am unable to pass any gas. Should I be concerned?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Most probably it may be due to cramps secondary to gastroenteritis. However we have to rule out other conditions like renal stones which can also present like this.

As of now you can take analgesics like Cyclopam an antacids like Pantoprazole for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a surgeon and get evaluated. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
