What Causes Intermittent Rashes On Inner Thighs, triceps And Buttocks?

I have a rash that has been coming/going for a week now. It is on my inner thighs, on my triceps, and on My buttocks. I use essential oils so the thought crossed my mind that perhaps I was using too much citrus. I put lemon oil in my water all the time, I used a citrus concoction to rid my fat cells of toxins, and I use grapefruit essential oil (take a grapefruit capsule every night). I have been going this for 3 weeks. Once my rash started, I quit doing all of the above because I thought maybe that caused it. What do you think? I just had my yearly physical with my family doctor and everything was positive.

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
Rashes on inner thighs, triceps and buttock is very common & can be due to
1.Rashes due to contact with allergic and poisonous agent found in herbs like poison oak or ivy, or present in the insect’s sting or animal’s bite.
2. Rashes due to friction between body parts. this type is common in cyclist, joggers, etc.
3.Psoriasis, impetigo and eczema are few of the diseases that are known to produce rashes or skin eruption. Inner thigh rashes are quite common in patients diagnosed with psoriasis.
Maintain hygeine as this is very important in preventing rashes. Hydration of the skin should be maintained by moisturizing creams.

Hope your query is solved
