What Causes Intermittent Pain In Left Chest And Arm Along With Breathlessness?
I am a 25yr old female who works out every day, and i am a healthy weight(128lbs) for being 5 8 . Last night i started experiencing pretty painful (left side)chest pain and also random pains in my left arm and tailbone. I could hardly sleep it was so uncomfortable. When i got up this morning it seemed better, but still present. Then when i tried to lay down to nap(because i have been tired and have had shortness of breath) THe pain was bad again. Enough to keep me up.... It is the worst when i lay down, and bearable when i am up and about. I called my doctor this morning and they said to wait and see. Any ideas??

General & Family Physician, Dr. D Y NAIDU's Response
Thanks to HCM
I can understand your concern
dont worry ,there arenumber of cause for this . but it is always better confirm that weather it is i cardiac origin
so plz simply go for basic ECG ,2Decho chest X RAY ,it will clarify
moreover risk factors like obesity, hypertensiondiabetes ,lifestyle habits support such pain
if ECG isnormal it may subside with analgesics.and protan pump inhibitors like pantaprazole .
so just undergo above tests and find the solution
be tension free .ok
