Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My dad passed away very VERY unexpectedly 3 days ago. It was a major shock to every one. He was 55. He said about 6 days ago that the left side of his chest was hurting a little off an on but not bad and no big deal.. I asked him to let me take him in and he refused :( and then we found him @ 10:20 @ his house dead on the floor with quite a bit of foam. We can t afford an autopsy and I no it sounds like a heart attack but I feel like I just need to here a doctor say it.. Bcuz some people are telling me he may have overdosed bcuz he had the foam?? I am like 99% sure he did NOT over dose.. what do you think?
As per my clinical experience, the various clinical correlation with condition of your dad are as follows: @ The history of left sided chest discomfort of minor to moderate degree do indicate onset of episode of myocardial ischemia most likely through compromised coronary circulation. @ The sudden death on the home floor with mouth frothing indicates massive myocardial infarction through total blockage of the major coronary artery as left anteriod descending or right coronary artery. @ The overdose possibility seems less likely, as there is no accompanying drug bottle or container showing empty can with plenty of medicines in original box. @ The ultimate answer is post mortem of the deceased, but as there is issue with financial aspects, one has to be going on with assumption theory only.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
