What Causes Intermittent Left-sided Chest Pain?

My 60 year old husband is complaining of left side chest pain that is dull and achy, moderate pain, that comes and goes over the last week. /today it is coming and going in approximately 10 minute intervals. He had a cardiac workup about two years ago and everything was fine. He takes medication for high triglycerides and type 2 diabetes as well as blood pressure medication, All of those are controlled by the medication and he is thin and in good health otherwise.

Hello
Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting your query.
I understand your concerns.
As your husband is hypertensive and has increased lipid level, he needs to do the cardiac work up again as he is very high risk patient for heart attack.

So I would advice you to do an ECG and 2D Echo .

Thank you
