What Causes Intermittent Itching Sensation On Scrotum?

iI have an intermittent itch on a small area of my scrotum, there was a spot there originally which lasted a long time, until I burst it, lots of puss came out and ten it cleared up, but i still get this itch, it's not there all the time but when it is, I scratch and that then leaves a greyish looking patch, with the skin looking tight

Well, I'm bit worried and sorry to tell you that there must be something wrong with your discharging wound!

In my opinion there are two possibilities:

1. a sebaceous cyst that has been infected and converted into an abscess!

2. some fungal infection in the hair follicle or skin appendages!

Yes, pus coming out of it contents of a sebaceous cyst!

I would suggest you to go for a microbiological/cytological test of the secretion for confirmation of the offending organism and to relieve your concerns!
