What Causes Intermittent Heart Palpitations?
I have been having heart pounding or maybe like what feels like maybe tachycardia episodes for about the the last 6 months. I can t seem to pin point what brings them on. Some days it happens 4-5 times a day last any where from 5-30 minutes long. Then I can go days without any episodes at all. Is this heart or maybe thyroid related?

Either the heart or high levels of thyroid hormone can cause this problem. Anemia is also a potential cause.
You would need to consider seeing your doctor for an assessment. He or she would review your history including the use of any stimulants eg caffeine
Blood tests such as a complete blood count (checking for anemia) and thyroid function tests, would be needed along with an ECG to take a look at the rhythm of the heart.
The treatment would depend on the cause found.
