What Causes Intermittent Diarrhoea?

Hi and Happy Tuesday! I have this strange situation, that is probably something very simple. It started about a year ago, when my Dad died. I also retired early about 2 years ago. When my Dad died there was tons of family stress that still continues. I have loose stool alot of the time. Then sometimes it clears up for a month or so, and comes back. We follow a healthy high fiber, diet with lots of fresh fruits and veggies, whole grains, steel cut oatmeal every day and fresh pineapple and mango for breakfast. Very little red meat, and mostly white meats and some fish. We take lots of vitamins, drink lots of water, eat yougurt, take probiotics, and exercise at least 30 minutes each day on our exercise bike and walk about a mile each night. Sometimes it goes away for a month or so, then comes back. We do not drink any alcohol, we do drink some coffee and tea, and pomegranite juice each day. I usually have two runs to the bathroom in the morning and one at night. It happens after breakfast and dinner. I do not have stomach cramps, heartburn, or upset stomach, sometimes my stomach gurgles. My weight seems to say between 153 and 157 lbs, I'm 5'8. I feel great most of the time, always happy, and usually have lots of energy. It's just kind of annoying. I do not like to take immodium or pepto. My wife says I'm just stressed. I had an excellent colonoscopy 2 years ago and my stool tests always are great.

Is it just stress ibs? Or, maybe a food allergy or a parasite? With the loss of my Dad, family stress, turning 60, retireing, and my wife's job is in jeopardy. We also spend alot of time doing volunteer work that adds some additional stuff. Any thoughts? Sorry for the long e-mail. When I asked my doctor he thought maybe it was ibs and suggested that I cut my coffee down to a cup or two a day.

Thank You for any suggestions you can give.

Make it the best day of your life today!
