What Causes Intermittent Chest Pain And Left Sided Back Pain?
I am having pains on my left side under my rib cage that penetrates to my back. I am also having some chest pains off and on. The pain in my side is now radiating to my stomach area. It feels like someone stabbing me. If I hold pressure to the area for a little while, it eases off for a while.

The symptoms seem to be related to gastroesophageal reflux disease.
I suggest using Maalox three times a day which can be found over the counter.
I also suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg daily to lower the acidity in the stomach.
