What Causes Intense Pain In The Left Buttock Despite Taking Ibuprofen?

I have pain in my left buttock. I recently increased the ibuprofen 400 mg, twice daily which alleviates the pain during the day, however I continue to wake up every morning with intense pain and have to repeat the cycle over again. I have been experiencing these symptoms for approximately two weeks. Is there any way to prevent the intense pain from returning every morning?

Hello,

You may need to increase the dosage 600mg twice daily or even use naproxen 500 mg. You should do a x-ray of lower spine to check for any pathologies of lower spine such herniated disks or pinched nerves which can cause it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
