Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
hi,

thank you for providing the brief history of you.

since you had hernia and got operated for the same 8 days back, it is important to know that did you lift any heavy weight or did any abnormal movement which your Surgeon had advised not to perform.

usually there is less chances for anything wrong to happen in today's time since the advance of technology and science has made surgery for hernia and healing must faster.

also to understand here is what is your age and how active life style you had before surgery.

were you doing any regular exercises in the past?

now since all is fine and under control, you need to focus on doing some small breathing exercises like deep breathing and abdominal breathing exercises while placing the hand over the incisional area.

this exercises will help get the basic strength required by abdominal muscles to cope up with the functional movements.

please take a prior advice from the surgeon and proceed further. under going the exercises under the guidance of a physical therapist is advised.

with the grace of God I wish you a good health
