What Causes Insomnia?

Why do I always have short sleep? I have hard time to fall sleep even after I already had short sleep. I have to take sleep pills for help, and occasionally even sleep pills don t work. I have to sleep outside! Through my observation, my sleeping problem seems related to location, international festivities and even nature disasters. What s miserable and mystery experience!? Dear doctor, can you solve my sleep problem? I am pretty sure it is not my problem. Then whose problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.Isomnia is the inability to get the amount of sleep you need to wake up feeling rested and refreshed. Sometimes, insomnia only lasts a few days and goes away on its own, especially when the insomnia is tied to an obvious temporary cause, such as stress.Causes of insomnia in your case can be psychological problems and emotional distress. So you should:
-Develop a better bedtime routine
-Stick to a regular sleep schedule.
-Avoid naps
-Limit caffeine, alcohol, and nicotine
-Avoid late meals
-Get regular exercise
-Avoid stimulating activity and stressful situations before bedtime.
-Turn off screens one hour before bedtime.
I hope this was helpful.
