What Causes Inflammation On The Face?

My friend has red skin on his face that was thought of as sunburn, from living in texas. he is 66yr. doctor gave him detoconazole and mometasone Furoate. It does temporary relief.. I got rid of mine with Probiotics, detox drinks, cause the 6 to 7 different steroids hurt my heart. i had a prior heart condition... is there anything more natural... this man has a very low immune system... our family does not agree well with steroids

Hi.

Well, topical steroids in the form of ointments and creams are less likely to hurt his heart or lower his immune system.
Also if there is red skin then it can be probably inflammation and needs to be treated with anti inflammatory and steroids only.
So first of all consult a Skin Specialist and get him checked so that the exact cause of the red skin can be ruled out.
Also for now avoid excess sun exposure and if there is sun exposure it is always advisable to use sunscreen lotion and use a scarf to cover the face.
Also do cool compresses over the face.
He can apply a mild topical steroid ointment for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
