What Causes Inflammation In The Vagina After Applying Clobetasol?

I started using Clobetasol Oinment on my vaginal area. This is day two. I has helped for the fact I do not burn as bad as I did before. I looked down there and it was all white in the labia area and it looked like a red area about to bleed. This happened once before about 6 years ago and the gyn said it was from my autoimmune system. I am pretty miserable right now and is there anything I can do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to local inflammation.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
