What Causes Inflammation And Pain In The Ankles?

i have burning type pain in my right ankle, which i believe began from my improper break in of orthotic inserts. i think i further injured my right ankle while sleeping, from the heavy weight of my comforter prying on it. i recently noticed the vein wrapping around my Achilles tendon bulging out significantly compared to my left ankle, which doesn t bulge at all. the pain in my ankle is internal for the most part, but my achilles tendon has been bothering my moreso of late. just wondering about the bulging vein and if it might be an issue. i m normal weight, 44 yrs old, in pretty good shape...but my last couple blood pressure readings were around 145/95. stressed from work and white coat syndrome...
