I had a baby 3 and a half months ago and I am breastfeeding. Sex has been painful. About 6 weeks ago, we had sex and used spermicide. Immediately after, I had severe burning, itching, and pain. A few days later, light vaginal bleeding started. We found out that the spermicide was expired. I did see a doctor about 2 weeks after this happened and he said to give it time. I'm still having the itching and inflammation, and sometimes a mucous like discharge with no odor. Do I need to give it more time to heal or do I have some kind of infection?
