What Causes Inflamed Lungs Along With Severe Asthma?

I have severe asthma and have just been diagnosed with inflamed lungs. My pulmonologist is putting me on a strong antibiotic and an inhaled steroid. I am not able to get any answers about inflamed lungs. Would you happen to have something that can help me to figure out what it is that I have.

Hi,

Thanks for your post on HCM

I do understand your pain and discomfort

As per your clinical history is concerned now you are taking antibiotics and steroid so your treating doctor has made a diagnosis as bacterial infection so take full course now.Inflammation of lungs can be due to many pathological disorders and bacterial infection is one among them.So after finish of antibiotics please do check your CBC with differential.

Hope that helps
