Hello,

Since you are staying with the same partner since years, bumps on the shaft are nothing to worry about. It can be pearly penile papules that are whitish bumps that may appear on the glans of the penis or along the edge of the glans. Unless you pop them they go away without causing any infection. Pimples, cysts, ingrown hairs and papules won't do any harm. If you have bumps that got inflamed is because you popped them. Do not touch, scratch or pop.

Take care of your hygiene, you can apply ointment Neosporin or Soframycin for relieve and take acetaminophen, one SOS when pain. However, if you had sex in the past with some other partner, it may be indicative of STD as they have long incubation periods. Get clinically examined by a GP, get STD tests done to be on the safer side.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
