What Causes Infected Blister On Left Swollen Foot?
Hi,am 42yrs old...my feet are numb & having burning sensation...having difficulty in walking & standing for more than 10mins or so.Now,I have a blister on my left feet on the bone near my ankle. It got swollen & is infected.Been dressing it for a while now..so much pus came out,now this morning I have some orange discharge from the infected area. Can you tell me whether its something that I should worry about?
Hi, i do care for your concern. Your history suggest more of diabetic foot. You have not mentioned about your lifestyle disease. I would recommend 1) To go for blood glucose test, If high get corrected with medicines promptly. 2) To start on broad spectrum antibiotic i.e amoxicillin clavulanate, with antacids. 3) It is highly advisable to consult a general surgeon, get the wound debrided under aseptic condition and to start with iv antibiotics initially. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
