Pediatrician 's  Response
Infants often swallow much air along with the milk. This causes abdominal distension which causes restlessness in the child. The child's body therefore tries to get rid of the extra content and the child throws up. Burping the baby properly is the best solution for this problem. If proper burping is done by placing the child in erect posture for around 20 mins after each feed, the air automatically comes out as burp without making the child throw up. With the release of the abdominal tension, the child feels relaxed and becomes active.
