What Causes Incurable Ear Infection?

Hi my name is Tracy Barr and I have had some sort of infection in my right ear for almost 4 months and I have been to the ER and to my pcp twice about it and they said it was just a ear infection so I went to my pcp for the second time just a few days ago and he said I have what they called a retracted eardrum and he gave me antibiotics ear drops and medicine For my sinuses should I use the ear drops or no they gave me drop rat the ER and it didn t help me so he said try them again.. Please help me what should I do? To be honest I don t think the drops are helping it s making the pain worst

Hi,
It seems that there might be having chronic infection in the ear and not responding to routine antibiotic medicine.
It requires culture and sensitivity test of material or discharge from the ear to know exact organism causing this infection and specific antibiotic medicine sensitive against these organisms.
After report go for specific antibiotic medicine course for long time.
Put appropriate antibiotic ear drops after proper cleaning.
Ok and take care.
