What Causes Increased Heart Rate Up To 79 After Having A Coffee?

hello I drank a cup of latte from coffee shop and my heart started to race very fast. I tried resting and drinking water to dilute thinking coffee may have been made too strong, it still beat fast for about an hour. I still do not feel good today. but my heart rate is at 79 and O2 sat is 98.

Hi,

Caffeine can cause fast heart rates. The effects are not seen in every person, because sensitivity is individual. If you have fast heart rates after drinking coffee I would advise you try to avoid coffee.
But if you have heart rate of 79, it is not high. There is nothing to worry for that heart rate.

Wishing you good health

Regards,
