What Causes Increased HCG Levels Other Than Pregnancy?

I am pregnant with my second pregnancy I miss carried in Jan. However, my HcG levels are 10,300 but I had a ultrasound today and only visible thing was a gestational sac? I don t understand how my levels are that high and there is no fetal pole or yolk sac?

I really appreciate your concern, beside the sonography finding as long as the pregnancy is concern nothing is indicative for normal or abnormal status because this is chemical concentration and this could be high or low due to other reason too and not just due to conception so this can be taken into consideration, hope this information helps, take care have a nice day.
