What Causes Increase In Blood Pressure?

I ve just checked my pressure and it reads 164/87. I m on high blood pressure medicine and I was released from the hospital doctor to a private one after my reading was 120. Why did my pressure suddenly jump so high? I take my medicine regularly. I am now heading to collect some more. What caused my pressure to increase? I ve had a little diet change due to study s, meaning I don t eat say regular timings and I eat a lot at one time to fill me up for long hours

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

In some persons the blood pressure is difficult to control and at least 3 (in some cases more) medications are needed.

If you are noting repeated high blood pressure readings, you may need a change in your medications.
The goal is less than 140/90, though if it can go lower that would be associated with decrease risk of heart disease.

You need to monitor and if it continues, re visit your doctor for medication review.

I hope this helps
