What Causes Inability To Breath Through Nose While Sleeping?
My daughter 13 year old, she is having problem in nose. She finds it very difficult to breath particularly in night time. She cannot sleep properly; she breathes in mouth, she snores, what could be the reason; she do not have running nose but she gets blocked.
hi, The problem is with her adenoids, the tiny glands behind her nose same like tonsils. Due to allergy this increases in size and blocks the nose. This condition is called Adenoids. The treatment is either surgical removal of adenoids with tonsils or regular use of Nasonex (Mometazone) nasal spray, 1 puff twice daily in both nostrils along with tab.Levocetrizine 2.5mg once daily. To be used for couple of months. If the problem does'nt subside, the option is Surgical removal of Adenoids and tonsils.
