What Causes Hypotension, Tachycardia And Fever While On Propranolol?
This is from a case study, Pt diagnosed with Graves disease and prescribed propanolol and propylthiouracil. She stopped taking propylthiouracil suddenly then ended up at ER with hypotension, tachycardia, fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and confusion. I know that n/v/d are side effects of propanolol. Could she possibly be having a thyroid storm due to stopping the propylthiouracil?

It is suggestive of thyroid storm. The patient seems to have developed thyrotoxic crisis ('thyroid storm') apparently caused by stopping propylthiouracil. Propranolol is not known to cause fever, tachycardia, vomiting, diarrhea and confusion.
