What Causes Hypo Aerated Lungs?

Hi doc. In applying for an overseas job in the middle east. i had my medical exam last april and au 2013 and they had me FIT TO WORK. but due to the delay of the visa i had to retake my medical exam last Feb 2014. The result was i had left minimal upper lobe fibrosis...then my agency me asked me to undergo another medical exam to another clinics. The result was right upper plueral thickening. The doctor told me that I have latent tuberculosis so i had my sputum test which is negative result too and start my medication of Myrin P forte... since i still have my doubt. I proceeded to have my xray in a lung center hospital and they give a Hypoaerated lungs result . after 3 months my doctor asked to have another xray at heart center and the result was normal chest. With that my agency asked me to undergo my medical exam again on their accredited clinics.. The results was positive PPD test and Right upper plueral paranchymal fibrosis.. im not concvince since there inconsistencies on the result. left to right fibrosis and wonder where i got this when my family haad no TB history... please help me,,, leo

Thanks for your question on HCM.
I can understand your situation and problem.
In my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done
1. CT THORAX
2. Bronchoscopy and BAL ( Broncho Alveolar Lavage ) analysis for TB.
Any lung insult whether TB or pneumonia or trauma heal by either of the following.
1. Fibrosis
2. Calcification
3. Rarely complete resolution.
And fibrosis or calcification gives scar tissue and this remains through out the life.
So your right upper lobe lesion is fibrotic scar only. This inactive lesion.
And you can prove this by CT THORAX and Bronchoscopy with BAL analysis.
If both are negative than you can prove that you are not having active infectious tuberculosis.
