The left side of my face (cheek, jaw and ear) heats up to the point where I feel like my skin is going to burst into flames. when i touch it, it s warmer than the right side of my face. This has been happing for about 4-5 weeks now. What could cause this and how can I fix it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A photo of the affected face side is needed to see the changes.

I want to know if you are also having general malaise or fever? We should consider erysipelas or other bacterial skin infection.

Plus, ear infection or any problem with your teeth can also be the cause.

Do measure your blood pressure record the results for reference.

Set a consultation appointment with your primary doctor first.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
