What Causes Hot Flashes At Night In A Heart Patient?
My husband had hot flashes during the night that woke him up. He is 65 years old and had a serious heart attack last April. He has 3 stents and is on several medications including blood thinners. He is usually complaining of being cold all the time. Is this something to be concerned about?
There are lots of pathological causes responsible for his problem let us start from root level.
However, let me give my opinion here.
As per his clinical sign is concerned it is not related to his heart so continue medications for heart as usually. Do check his body temperature every 6 hours and record it if possible do a blood DC and TWBC count. Do check his fasting blood sugar, TSH, and serum testosterone level. After getting report if any abnormality present he needs a clinical check up by an endocrinologist in your local area. It is a case of hormonal imbalance only.
For this you need expert's guidance by your local doctor who will prescribe you medications.
Hope this helps.
