What Causes Hot Flashes And Itching Post Sinus Infection?

I quit smoking 12/1. Got bug on 12/16. Got sinus infection & antiobiotics were prescribed. About a week after finishing meds symptoms came back. Went to clinic again. More antibiotics but this time I started to get hot flashes. I stopped the antibiotics and anything I had been Taking including vitamins. I now still get the hot flash but i feel this itch and I think I'm getting hives. I am menopausal and used to get 2-4 hot flash episodes during the day well it is now more like 20-30 episodes.

As per your complain hot flushes as well as itching and hives seems to be due to allergic reaction to the antibiotic that you have taken while hot flashes can also be due to withdrawal side effects of quitting smoking..

I would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get evaluated and a clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..

In case of allergic reaction you can be advised to take anti allergics like levocetrizine or allegra..
Drink plenty of water to wean off the effect of antibiotics..
Take a nutritious diet and sufficient rest..
