What Causes Hot Flashes, Abnormal Sensations In Lower Abdomen And Upper Pelvic Area?

81 years old. Know thyroid is too low and not being handled well. Among many other symptoms, have hot flashes. What I don t understand is that I know when the hot flashes are coming because there is an irritable sensation in the lower abdomen - actually probably in the upper pelvic area (had hysterectomy and oophorectomy decades ago. What would cause these sensations preceeding hot flashes?

I really appreciate your concern, what ever the symptoms you are having are not due to the endocrine dysfunction but it could be all functional disorders it may not be due to hormone changes, it is the psychological elements playing the role and you have to control your thoughts try to come out of this, till then Amitriptyline can be tried orally once in day hope this information helps.
