What Causes Hole In The Eardrum Along With Drainage Of Brown Clumps?

I have a hole in my left ear drum and a little over a month ago my ear drum ruptured and I was diagnosed with a double ear infection. After two different rounds of antibotics I still have tons of brown and yellow clumps of goo like substance coming out of my ear nonstop and a suction like feel. Any suggestions?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you still have an ongoing ear infection and the brown and yellow discharge from the ears seems to be due to infection and pus formation..

I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get thoroughly evaluated and in case if there is excess fluid inside the ear, you can be advised to get surgical drainage of fluid followed by a long course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkillers and decongestants..

Once the infection subsides, the eardrum has to be evaluated..
In case if there is a small perforation, as the infection will subside the perforation will heal..
In case of large perforation surgical correction known as Tympanoplasty will be done..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
