What Causes Hoarseness In Voice?

My voice has been hoarse and I feel like I need to clear my throat for about three months. I can always bring up mucus. I did start some new medications about that time (Lisonapral, Gabapenten & celebrex). Should I be concerned about Esophageal Cancer?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

Hoarseness of voice doesn't only mean cancerous growth...

It can be from Laryngitis like infective or inflammatory condition as well...

You are using lisinopril and if can lead excess mucus production due to release of bradykinin

I would like to advise you to consult only nearby otorhinolaryngologist for laryngoscopy procedure which is OPD based procedure

From laryngoscopy we can find any lesion if present over larynx

After that according to examination your further treatment plan will be decided

Hope your concern solved

Take care
