What Causes Hoarseness In Voice And Painful Lymph Nodes In The Neck?

Hi doctor Andrew, I am 45 yrs old, married and working as a principal in an elementary sch. here in the philippines, I am suffering from the hoarseness of my voice for a very long time. Sometimes after talking so much I can feel pain in my lymph nodes around my neck. I ve consulted a doctor many times already but still it would come back...last month I went to an Ear,Nose & Throat Specialist (ENT) and he conducted an Endoscopy. He found out a nodules in my vocal cords & it was larger than the normal vocal cords. He gave me medicines to take and told me that he will perform a surgery if it is still there sfter 1 month. I need your advice. Pls help me. Thank you so much doctor Andrew.

hi
hoarsness is due to compression of one of the nerves in your neck and it can be caused by any mass or growth in neck
and yes surgery is the option here but don't worry the surgery with complication is thyroidectomy and good thing you have no issues there according to your doctor and are you a smoker and your job?
