What Causes High Level Of Monocyte In Children?

my 11 year old son has a monocyte level of .8 on the form it says that the normal range is .0 - .8 it is denoted as high. everything else seems to be with in normal range. he has no symptoms of flu, fever or cold. What could be the problem. Also we live in a tropical environment.

Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic. From the reference range provided it seems that the absolute monocyte count of your son is within the normal range though on the upper limit of normal range.
