General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with increased heart rate difficulty in breathing following a treatment for stage 3 lung cancer I will suggest you have developed a hypertensive heart disease

In view of this please check your blood pressure and see a cardiologist specialist for expert clinical assessment Councelling and adequate drug prescription

The continous heart rate you are observing despite taken metoprolol is what will call palpitation and this is one of the symptoms of hypertension

I hope this helps Regards
