What Causes High Fever With Headaches And Body Aches?

Hi, I have a fever of 101.1, headache, other body aches, sore throat and the chills/sweat. Sounds like classic flu but I was fine yesterday and was exercising all day outside. It was very hot and sunny and I had no hat, is it possible that it be a sun stroke or something like that? Maybe it was just contact with someone else who had the flew. Who knows just hit me out of the blue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Symptoms are of the common cold with pharyngitis. You are suggested to get swab, sputum & blood tests done. Get examined by a GP.

Your treatment will depend upon the pathology detected. You will be treated with analgesics (Tylenol), antibiotics (Doxycycline) or antivirals.

You should gargle with warm saline water or hexidine mouth wash 2-3 times a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
