Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of high fever and severe cough which seems to be due to bronchitis/upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should go for throat swab test and X-ray chest as well start treatment after proper diagnosis. You should get pulmonary function test done to check level of infection. You should do warm saline gargles. You should take steam inhalation. You should take antiallergic medication along with proper course of antibiotic along with Ibuorofen. Do tepid sponging.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
